Since 2011, the Obaro Learnership Program has been focused on the sustainable development of the workforce within the Agricultural sector. The program was developed to provide candidates with the opportunity to receive training, as well as gain experience in the various facets offered by the company and the agricultural environment.
Diaan Lombaard, Learner Manger for 2021, explains that the program is the ideal opportunity for any young person to start their career. “I look forward to working at Obaro and bettering myself through the Learnership.”
This year’s successful candidates reported at Head Office on the 11th of January 2021, from where they were placed at various Obaro Retail stores, to start the first phase of their training. The program consists of an NQF5 qualification in Management, where the theoretical material is supportive to the physical training offered.
In my opinion, exposure to the various divisions, will be beneficial. It creates a complete picture of how the various departments are connected and work together to achieve a shared goal.” says Shane Müller, Learner Manager for 2021.
